One of the most satisfying things in life is when someone around you is directly impacted by something you did.
This can be positive or negative.
i.e. Punching someone in the face. A highly negative experience. Someones face may get messed up because of your direct impact...impacting, but not a smart way to do it.
OR
Seeing someone's life change from bad to great becasue of your direct impact.
When we get to the end of our lives we won't measure the value of our lives by material possesions like money, clothes, amount of likes and friends we had on facebook, how many epic, highly liked photos we posted on instagram (whilst a great achievement), or even by how succesful we were at what we did career wise. We will measure the value of our life by the impact we had on people. Our spouses, our children, our friends, family and people we are doing life with.
SO the question is... are you bringing? What are you bringing?
Are you impacting anyone positively?
i.e. are you bringing hope. are you bringing love. are you bringing truth. are you bringing wisdom?
What do people know you to bring to a situation or to their life? Because whatever you bring, you will be known for and this will cause people to either run to you or run from you.
The answer to us living a life that is most rewarding and the answer for people who need something different to take place in their life, is simple.
You and I bringing GOD to people.....and you and I bringing people to GOD.
Bringing the character and spirit of God to people around us - built around our lifestyle.
Bring people to church - God's house, His people, His dwelling place.
If this is what we achieve with our lives, we will look back one day with a smile on our face, knowing we did the greatest thing a person can do.
This will redifine our lives = The Northern Beaches and North Shore discovering Jesus.
